NAIL SURGERY
Nail Surgery
Are you suffering from persistent ingrown toenails, fungal nails, or severely damaged nails?
We provide professional nail surgery to relieve pain and restore healthy, comfortable feet.
What is Nail Surgery?
Nail surgery involves removing all or part of the affected nail under local anaesthetic. This simple and effective procedure helps treat ongoing problems that haven’t responded to routine care.
Types of Nail Surgery:
-
Partial Nail Avulsion (PNA): Removal of the affected side(s) of the nail – commonly used for ingrown or involuted nails.
-
Total Nail Avulsion (TNA): Removal of the entire nail – often used for severe fungal infections or extensively damaged nails.
What to Expect During and After the Procedure
-
The procedure is performed in our Cheltenham clinic under sterile, professional conditions.
-
A local anaesthetic is used to numb the toe, making the treatment virtually painless.
-
After surgery, your toe will be dressed for optimal healing.
-
You’ll receive clear aftercare instructions and a follow-up appointment within 48 hours to remove dressings and check progress.
-
A second follow-up, around two weeks later, ensures your toe is healing well and allows time to address any concerns.
